Square Dancing - America's folk dance!

It's easy to learn and great fun and exercise. It‟s a wonderful choice for your PE. You might have to drag your kids the first few times, but they will most likely enjoy it.
Lessons begin in early September, Monday nights at the Monticello Middle School. Use entrance #20 on the east side, across the street from the hospital. Lessons always include “angels” – experienced dancers to guide you through the moves. If we can have enough kids attending, they won‟t be forced to dance with us “old people”- my sons' one objection to taking lessons. Lessons are appropriate for about age 10 thru adult and cost $4 per person each night you attend.

2015- beginning Monday, September 21, there will be 3 free intro classes. Each of these is a "stand-alone" class with no prior knowledge assumed and is a no-commitment opportunity to give it a try . The full series of evening classes (Basic/Mainstream – Level 1) begins October 12, 2015 through the remainder of the school year ($4.00 a person each evening). Lessons are taught by professional square dance caller Abe Maier. Join us at the Monticello Middle School (East Entrance, Door 20), 302 Washington St, Monticello, MN (map), from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.

Welcome to the Northwest Nighthawk Cross Country running team! We are a cooperative formed in 2014 to provide homeschooled students the opportunity to participate in interscholastic athletics, giving athletes from junior high through high school a true competitive team experience. At this time, boys and girls practice together; races vary within each meet. Practices are based at our 18-acre vintage hobby farm/nature preserve.
